Future zoo design

An international architecture firm, Bjarke Ingels Group has proposed a radical overhaul of the traditional zoo concept, where humans will be the ones kept in enclosures and the animals will roam free. Denmark-based Bjarke Ingels Group has plans to transform the 45-year-old Danish Givskud Zoo into a "Zootopia," by creating large natural environments for animals to live and enclosed spaces where visitors can observe the animals. "It is our dream – with Givskud – to create the best possible and freest possible environment for the animals' lives and relationships with each other and visitors."

The design is very futuristic and simple. The Initial plans of the redesign show three distinct areas where the animals will be able to live and roam freely: "America," "Asia" and "Africa." All of the areas will be connected by a central square, a circular enclosed area that will blend into the natural environment. This square will serve as a starting point for the zoo's visitors. Their plans on the different ares of the zoo is very amazing as three different country of animal is surrounding you in a form of circle. Beside the central on viewing this animal in a distance, their created different way to explore the animal in the zoo in short distance. Such as using different transport like car, cable car, boat and more.

A key element of the redesign is that all of the animal environments will be built to simulate their natural environments, while the visitor buildings will be obscured or integrated into the natural landscape as much as possible. They did a very good design as let the animal back to the nature without lock them in a cage and it inspire me to think more on the future and not to lock yourself out.

Ice bucket challenge (donation)

ALS is a disease could cost a lot to stop the ache of the body and normal people can't afford to cure the disease. So, the ALS association tried an creative way to promote the donation and to tell the world about ALS.

The full ALS defination is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

I feel sorry for the people who get this scary disease which could be solve easily and will getting worst rapidly and unconsciously. ALS used an event as THE ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE to make the world recognize them. To do the ice bucket challenge is just pouring ice water from the head and get cold. Some people say is to experience the ache that ALS patients had everyday. After filming the ice bucket challenge remember to hashtags #alsicebucketchallange and more. The way to get attention and raising fund for the association is creative and  Significance. The way they doing this challenge has inspire me and make me feel awareness of ALS. They promote the charity as a success that many celebrities and famous did it. The donation race 62.5 million and on-going.
This guy made a very heartbreaking video to tell his hardness to the peoples to think fun on ALS. He is a very brave and strong to face his situation, family and sickness .

Invisible in New York City

Trina Merry body paints people to blend with NYC architecture. In her series of art creation. She use the human body acting as a living canvas, Brooklyn-based artist Trina Merry paints landscapes and scenes, which seamlessly merge into their surrounding urban environment. New York City is the backdrop for merry’s meticulously illustrated architectural structures and landmarks, which are carefully detailed onto the nude bodies of female models.

The Brooklyn bridge, Guggenheim museum and coney island’s vibrantly colored entrance gates are a few of the sites that are camouflaged onto the human forms, blending them together as if they were one.

The building is painted very detail on the model as you can see clearly in the photo.  Also, The position is well fit to the real structure of the building and the scenery even the colour of the sky is matched nicely. The control of the colour is very good. Lastly, the idea of doing this project is very cool and creativity which bring out the meaning of humans are being "eaten" by the environment of the city. By the way, the model is wearing a pair of colour shoes that bring out the meaning of hope to be seen in the city. It is quite meaningful to me as now I am staying in the city which is crowded and noising.

.

Painting her model, Jessica Mellow and constantly vanishing her into part of the scenery.

Jessica Mellow describe  "You feel the transformation process. The brush itself, it's really soft. It feels more like a massage."

Every single changes of the scenery had troubled her to keep redraw or add-on the new movement of the street.

Cop tried to stopped her doing the painting as the model is naked and the law of NY doesn't allow it.

Finally, she get through all the troubles and having a final check of her product.

smallest set of stop motion

By Sumo Science again. This video is sponsor by Nokia and using a microscope and smartphone to film it. They attach the microscope and smartphone and use the pixel camera to film it. The background is made by many material such as coin, pencil, needle, fabric, button, flower and etc. They material they use is very creativity and impress me with the tiny movement that make the movement of the character collaborate well with the background. They use tiny object to replace the original object which i think is pretty interesting.  Especially, the wave using pencil waste and the fish jumping around using pin and also the bee. The character is made with plastic in 12 different pose to use it repeatedly as the character is running. Every single movement of the character, they have to made at least 12 pose to bring out the smoothness of the movement. They put a lot of effort to experiment with this new technology and also invent a way to use the technology on filming. The storyline is simple as her world is destroy with the wave and she is running away in the tiny word that they created . The character is 9 millimeter tall and 50 replacement poses of the character. They make 4 second a day because the thing are too fragile so they must be very careful placing everything together.

World largest set of stop motion....

'Gulp' is a short film created by Sumo Science at Aardman, depicting a fisherman going about his daily catch. This project is sponsor by Nokia, so they have required to use a smartphone to do the entire shooting. The shooting location at Pendine Beach in South Wales. Every frame of this stop-motion animation was shot using a phone which is Nokia N8, with its 12 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics. The film has broken a world record for the 'largest stop-motion animation set', with the largest scene stretching over 11,000 square feet.

Here's a film taking you behind the scenes on 'Gulp', Aardman's world record breaking short film. It reveals what went in to making such a complex film outside and away from the controlled environment of a studio, and how it was shot using a Nokia N8. They used only one day to finish the film which mean they have a very well plan on the schedule of shooting. Is pretty impressing after knowing they finish the shooting in a short period. It make's me feel that planning is very important on doing a project. If the progress is plan well, it will probably save a lot of cost and time. They also choose a great location to shot as they using sand to create different drawing and different tools to make patterns easily. The sand artist also made interesting and attractive drawing on the beach and give us more interest at the video. Also, they create and  new usage of a smartphone as to put on a higher place to film the largest of "anything". A video that less than 2 minutes used a day to film it.  They make a record of built the biggest set on stop motion video and success to bring out a creative and interesting outcome. The crew members really put a lot of effort in it which i feel success is not easy.
